About me
I have lived in Tenterden for 38 years.
What am I passionate about? Telling everybody what's on in Tenterden, keeping Tenterden free of litter and graffiti, encouraging Tourism in Tenterden, supporting the High Street (the heart of our community), fairer parking charges, proper policing in Tenterden... and dealing with the dreaded potholes!
I have a keen interest in local affairs and am actively involved in the community helping with various events.
I'm one of the organisers of the Spirit of Tenterden Community Festival (this year it's on 30 June - 2 July on Tenterden Recreation Ground!. Find out more about the festival >>> here
Professionally I am a registered chiropodist and podiatrist. I have worked in Tenterden for 36 years alongside my husband Bill who is an osteopath and acupuncturist.
My hobbies are swimming, health and technology.

I was elected to Tenterden Town Council in 2013 and have been actively involved with Council matters since then. I continue my interest in the community and am very passionate in helping residents find out What's On in and around Tenterden.
I manage the My Tenterden website www.mytenterden.co.uk which these days is a huge undertaking, the Tenterden Twitter account www.twitter.com/mytenterden and the Facebook account www.facebook.com/tenterden for businesses and the community. Now added to this is the My Tenterden Instagram account www.instagram.com/mytenterden and LinkedIn www.linkedin.com/company/53398355/admin. I also send out a regular email newsletter to 1,800 local people in Tenterden.
Although I am heavily involved with promoting Tenterden online, I do appreciate that not everyone is on the Internet and so believe that newsletters, noticeboards and talking to people are just as important. I look after the community side of the Town Hall noticeboard for the Town Council.
My husband Bill is a Rotarian so all in all we have a very busy life.
